Configure server-based authentication with Dynamics 365 (on-premises) and SharePoint 2016 (on-premises) with 2 sites

Posted on by 20

Hello Experts,

We are trying to configure server-based authentication with Dynamics 365 (on-premises) and SharePoint 2016 (on-premises).
We have only 1 sharepoint with 2 site collections and 2 Dynamics 365 servers, one for QA and one for Production. So when we are enabling Server-Based SharePoint Integration, we need to set Dynamics 365 Realm ID in sharepoint server always, when we restore dynamics 365 database from production to QA environment. These Dynamics 365 Realm ID's are always different for both dynamics 365 QA and Production server.
So for us this means that, we can have only one sharepoint with one dynamics 365? I need experts suggestions is my understanding correct or is there any setting which can be done in sharepoint server which accepts both or multiple Dynamics 365 Realm ID.?
Please find attached screen shot for more convenient.

Thanks in advance,
