API - Response to show Posted Invoice number

Hi Guys

I'm using below to Post a draft sales invoice via API call, all works except I want to see the posted document number in the response message. Is it possible

/V2.0/{{Cronus}}/salesInvoices(ae12ffd4-4e0d-ec11-86bc-000d3xxxx)/Microsoft.NAV.post

    Could you get it before posting? It’s part of the sales header. Will mean exposing that field as it won’t be in the standard API

    yes of course it is part of the URL :) ...so let me put the real question ..is it possible to get any response message back when posting ..any kind of confirmation other than the status code

    It's not possible from the Standard API response, you may need to make another API call with Order No. filter in the Posted Sales Invoice and use the returned Posted Sales Invoice no. in response.

    OR

    You can create your own custom API and can give Posted Invoice Number in response after posting the invoice.
