Hi:

On customer facing documents such as the Sales Quote and Sales Invoice, what's the easiest way to add the logo that is saved in the “Company Information” screen?

Thanks!

John

Is this for a custom or built in report?

    Is the report RDLC/Word?

The logo may already be on the report, you can check in the General Ledger Setup the “Default Company Logo Position” this may be set to No Logo

    Kind Regards

Lots of the default reports will have them already included in the print out. You may need to check the report object being used. You can do this from Report Selection - Sales. As long as you have a company logo updated you can then check the report layout being used. If it's not printing you may need to add it to that layout in word/RDLC.

Here is a standard Quote layout:

    Hello John,

The easiest way is simply to upload the logo in Company Information → Picture. Microsoft confirms that the standard Business Central document templates are already designed to use this company logo on externally facing documents such as invoices, orders, and statements, so normally no development is required. If the logo does not appear on your Sales Quote/Invoice, you are most likely using a custom report layout that does not include the Company Information picture; in that case, go to Report Layouts, export the current Word/RDLC layout, add or reposition the logo, import it as a new layout, and assign it through Report Selection - Sales.

Hi John, in most cases you don't need to add anything. The standard documents, Standard Sales - Quote and Standard Sales - Invoice, already print the picture from Company Information. So if the logo is missing, first check in Report Selections - Sales that you really use these reports, and in Report Layout Selection which layout is active.

One more place to look, in Sales & Receivables Setup there is a field Logo Position on Documents. If it says No Logo, some of the reports will not print it, as far as I remember this affects mostly the older ones.

If you have a custom Word layout, export it from Report Layouts, open in Word, Developer tab, XML Mapping Pane, pick the report's XML part, then right click CompanyPicture and insert it as Picture content control. Import it back and that's it. With RDLC is more work, I'd avoid it just for a logo.

Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.

►  If this solved it, marking it verified helps others too.
