Is there any documentation on this form and setup: "Commerce Shared Parameters: Enable Price Change Tracking"?

I see that this form looks to have been added in 10.0.32, but I cannot find any documentation on it.

Retail and Commerce > Headquarters setup > Parameters > Commerce shared parameters > Set up the prices and discounts shared parameters.

Does anyone have any details on this form?

    I would also like to know more about this. We haven't configured this form, but 4/5 LE have been added here automatically. 

    We have one long running batch job (20+ hours) still executing called "Price change track event handler job"
