Contacts Migration from CRM 2013 to Dynamics CRM 365 using KWS SSIS

Posted on by 310

Hello,

I am migrating Contacts information from CRM 2013 to Dynamics CRM 365.

There are these four fields in the View namely:

Created By, Created On, Modified By, Modified On.

I need to map these four fields from source to destination.

Which fields should I use in my source as well as destination so that I can migrate this info successfully?

Thank you.

Click on the Business Management tab in the Security Role that you want to add that privilege to.

Under the Miscellaneous Privileges section, the 8th item on the left is: "Override Created on or Created by for Records during Data Import"

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

I tried mapping createdBy fields of source and destination but getting the error shown below. Error shows missing prvOverrideCreatedOnCreatedBy privilege. Which entity in the security role should I set to achieve the above permission?

Using the SSIS toolkit you can migrate the Created By and Modified by fields, and you can use the overridencreatedon field to set the date time when the record was created, but you cannot set the modified on fields.

The only way to modify the modifiedon directly is using SDK code.

See the blog article below from Power Objects.

    Hope this helps.
