Dears

good day , Hope you are well

I have 2-questions in Master Plans Setup

the first question ; for the check box of include on-hand inventory ; could I avoid taking specified Warehouse in calculations (Like WIP W.H)

the second question ; for the check box of include inv. transactions ; could I avoid taking Open Production Orders & Open Sales Orders in calculations ( By another meaning I want to take only open Purchase Orders in Calculation )

Thanks In Advance

    RE: Master Plans Set-up

    Hi Mohamed,

I don't have an AX2009 environment, but I think there is an option to set Manual coverage at the warehouse level (on the Master planning tab).  This would exclude this warehouse completely from planning, so not only would the onhand be ignored, no planned orders would be created for demand there.

There is no way to exclude different types of inventory transactions from the calculations, in standard.

    Regards

    Dolores

    Hi Mohamed,

It is too dangerous to just suggest anything related to master planning setup on the forum without knowing all the details and requirements.  One wrong suggestion could break easily some other behavior. Your questions are not easy to configure as it would need some workarounds, if even fully possible. There is not just a setting to exclude some type of transactions. There are also quite some changes over the various versions. AX2009 master planning is behaving different compared to the current features. I don't have a machine with AX2009 anymore.

So, I'm sorry, but I have to disappoint you. I'm not able to provide you an answer on this forum.

    Hi Mohamed,

I would recommend to hire a consultant who can guide you with the full master planning setup. There are options to include or exclude warehouses and transactions based site setup, positive and negative days. A consultant knowledgeable on the master planning can look at all requirements and suggest the best solution. One initial simple setting can cause completely different outcomes of the master planning.
