Hi there,

I am trying to upload the budget using the template from the Business Central and getting an error message that (the GL code was not found). Can you please assist?

Please provide additional info about the steps that you took in order to arrive at the error.

This community is now confused about how you got there and why you got stuck.

My best guess is that you did the following:

- created a new empty G/L Bduget

- exported the new empty G/L Budget to Excel using the Export To Excel function

- opened the Excel file

- added non-existing G/L account nos in the Excel budget

- imported via the Import From Excel function

- ERROR: error message that (the GL code was not found)

Bottom line: you cannot provide budget amounts for G/L accounts that do not exist.

You should create the required set of G/L Accounts prior to throwing budget amounts at them.

Would be great to have a screenshot of the error, but it seems You are trying to provide a G/L account No. that is not in your Chart of Accounts.
