How do I gain access to an existing Integration in Integration Manager?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

An integration has been created using Integration Manager. Currently only 1 individual run this integration. How can I get the ability to use this existing integration.

    Hi,

    Look wherever the user profiles exist. If in doubt, look in both.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Leslie,

    Would I also look at the C:drive on the Citrix servers on which the application is available or on the application server to determine whether the setting is correct?

    Often, the integration manager database location is overwritten so that it doesn't look at the setting in the application, instead it looks at a file in your profile.

    The file on my machine is located here:

    C:\Users\Leslie\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics GP\12.0.0.0\IMUser_Data.xml

    The file sets the default IM database location for the user and will override the IM program settings. Open the file in Notepad and you can edit it. My file looks like this:

    <?xml version="1.0"?>

    <!--Integration Manager User Application Data-->

    <IMUserData>

    <IMDefaultDatapath>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\Integration Manager 12\Samples\IntegrationManagerSamples.IMD</IMDefaultDatapath>

    <DumpErrorRecords>True</DumpErrorRecords>

    <AutoUpgradeIntegrations>True</AutoUpgradeIntegrations>

    <ShowFullErrorBox>True</ShowFullErrorBox>

    <DestinationSettings>

    <DestinationSetting>

    <ID>-2050</ID>

    <DisplayName>Server Name</DisplayName>

    <Value>localhost</Value>

    </DestinationSetting>

    <DestinationSetting>

    <ID>-2054</ID>

    <DisplayName>Company Database</DisplayName>

    <Value>TWO</Value>

    </DestinationSetting>

    <DestinationSetting>

    <ID>-2055</ID>

    <DisplayName>Source File</DisplayName>

    <Value>C:\</Value>

    </DestinationSetting>

    <DestinationSetting>

    <ID>-2075</ID>

    <DisplayName>Filter</DisplayName>

    <Value />

    </DestinationSetting>

    <DestinationSetting>

    <ID>-2076</ID>

    <DisplayName>Use Filter</DisplayName>

    <Value>false</Value>

    </DestinationSetting>

    </DestinationSettings>

    </IMUserData>

    Look at the setting next to '<IMDefaultDatapath>'.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Frank,

    Would this work the same in a Citrix environment?  We have a user who can only see the sample integrations (including myself as "sa"!) while another user can see all of them.

    Could be Scott or it could be installed in a Shared folder if more than one person uses the same IM database.  If it's the former, then you need to get a copy of the IM database and save it to your local workstation then point your IM to it under Tools>>Options>>General in Integration Manager.

    I have Integration Manager installed on my workstation but all I currently see are the sample integrations. Where is the integration database typically installed? Is it possible the integration is installed locally on the workstation on the user who currently has access to the integration that I want to use?

    Scott, as long as you have Integration Manager installed on your workstation and it is pointed to the correct Integration Manager database, you should have access to the integration.
