Quantity Returned

Posted on by 45
Good day,

A return was done via SOP, the quantities were entered for the items in the 'returned' bucket. During a cycle count the variance was noted, in the reconcile the user did not take that quantity into account and made an adjustment to fix the variance.

The quantities are still in the 'returned' bucket, can this be fixed without affecting the GL?

Regards

Rosemary

Thank you for your response, I am aware of the transfer option from one quantity type to another. But the thing is an adjustment was done to correct the difference in stock.
The item has been discontinued but because of the assigned quantity I can't remove the item.

You can do a transfer transaction.  You can choose the same site for the transfer.  Once you've entered the basic information on that line, you can click the quantity type button to move from Returned to On Hand.  Be sure to check the Distribution before posting to be sure it is as you desire.
