POs created from PQs are fully amendable with no need for re-approval

Hi All,
I have set up an approval workflow for PQs.
Once approved, PQs can be converted to POs and then, once received, to PIs.

My issue is that, after the PQ is approved, the PO can actually be amended, with no need for re-approval, creating the risk of unapproved expenses to be submitted.

I'd like my PO to be processed with no re-approval, if there are no changes.
However, changes to the total value of the PO should trigger a new request for approval.

Is there a way to set up the workflow to allow for this?

Many thanks
Cinzia

    Hi Cinzia,

Are you using Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management or Business Central?
In case of SCM, you can configure the workflow in such a way that in case of no financial impact, it will go for an automatic approval. In case of a changed amount, manual approval should apply. You can achieve that by putting a condition on the delta amount or delta percentage field.

Moved to the Business Central forum. Let's wait for a volunteer being able to help you on this question in the context of BC.
