Hiding Ex-employees

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We are looking for a way of being able to hide employees who have left the business. We can set their user accounts to disabled but we are still able to select them in notes and other areas of NAV 2016 that use the active directory user names. Is there any way of hiding employees from these lists. We appreciate the account cannot be deleted but we are hoping we can hide these names from being selected. This is probably a very basic question but we are new to NAV so this seems a good place to start asking questions.

Try to add a new Boolean field on the table Something like "Current Employee". On the table field relation try to set the Filter in a way which will only show you Employees with "Current Employee" = TRUE :)

so every where the employee table is used you have to adapt the table relation to use the new Filter "Current Employee" = True
