Client has an interesting Drop Shipment issue.
-- Customer special orders an item from Vemdor A with special finishing by Vendor B
-- Item drop ship from Vendor A to Vendor B
-- Vendor B drop ships finished item to Customer

Can this be done in BC?

    Hello,

The Special Order from Vendor A linked to Sales Order and noting its Drop Shipped to Vendor B is possible. Its the additional PO that is needed for Vendor B and final drop ship to the Customer that is not out-of-the-box. You can manually do it but if you want automation so that when you create the 1st PO for Vendor A the Vendor B PO is also created with the Drop Ship information, this would require an extension/customization.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Thanks, Steven

I had a feeling customization might be needed. Would only recommend if this was more regular scenario, I think.

Given that, could you amplify re doing it "manually" as noted above.

BTW: Customer Sales Order has Vendor A and Vendor B items.

POs are generated for both vendors.

    Hello,

So my Sales Order would reflect both Items, Vendor A Item and Vendor B Item. If that is the case, you can pull in your Drop Ship to Vendor A and showing the Ship-to to Vendor B. You will have to manually update this as it will pull the Customer Ship-to address. Now the Vendor B drop ship PO will have the correct Ship-to address from the Sales Order. This will work nicely with minimal change on the Vendor A PO.

    Do you follow?

    Thanks,

    Steve
