This is out now. I was able to see this on one of my trial environments. Also please find the updated user guide here:

Check it on your trial environment if you have one. You should be able to see it.

I'm also looking forward to seeing this.
We are new to CRM and I would ideally like to remove the Outlook client from my users before it becomes too ingrained. The new Outlook App feature list suggests that it will cover everything we need in conjunction with the Web App.
I've read in several places that is will be made available with the 'December Release of Dynamics 365' E.g., http://www.germantren.net/news/Microsoft-Dynamics-365-app-for-Outlook-will-be-released-soon!/
Afraid I've not seen a specific date though, despite looking quite hard.

Thanks Aileen, I'm actually waiting for the lightweight 'App for Outlook' version to be out. This is the one which is run on the OWA in a browser and doesn't need setting anything on the machine like the client does.
The link you provided above is of Dynamics 365 For Outlook and not Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.

Based on this, it seems like you can still use the CRM for Outlook.
You are waiting for the new apps coming is it or the Outlook plugin? because they are different. Thanks

I have Dynamics 365 instance and using the Download links it give me the 2016 client so there is no new release date at the moment
