Posted on by 275

Hi Community,

Does anyone know if it is possible to send an outlook invitation to Project Resources when hard booking them in CRM?

Thanks, Debbie

I think you can still make an appointment to a contact. But no I don't think there is any OOB functionality to do this.

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your reply. That works for User resources, but I would like to do this also for Contact Resources.

I was wondering if there was some OOB functionality to do this without having to revert to workflows.

    Thanks, Debbie

You could try making a workflow.

Whenever a Bookable Resource Booking is created or updated when the Booking Status is 'Hard'. You could create an appointment in CRM with the details of the start time and end time and the resource involved. You will need to make sure that the users mailboxes are set up and that Appointments, Contacts and Tasks are set as 'Server-Side Synchronization'. So that when an appointment is made to that resource it will sync the appointment to there outlook calendar.
