How do you get guided help across multiple model driven apps in Dynamics 365?

Hi,

I have created guided help in my Dynamics instance but it's only visible in the custom app and I want it also visible in other apps so that it can be visible for the whole organization.

Does someone know how to get this done? I've looked on the internet if I could find something about how you have to do this. But I couldn't find it (maybe I didn't use the right words to search)

Looking forward to hear something from you guys.

Kind regards,

Fouad Kada

    Hi Fouad,

I have tested that the OOTB apps like Sales Hub also can include the guided help.

Make sure Enable Learning Path and Enable Custom Help Panes and Guided Tasks are Yes in the System Settings.

Then we can see the guided help in all model driven apps.

If it does not take effect in some apps, please clear the cache or change your browser.

In addition, has your environment been enabled for 2020 release wave 2 preview?

I recommend that you enable it to get the latest features.

    Hi Lu Hao,

I have both options enabled and I also have the latest update. But when I create help pages I only see them in the Dynamics 365 - Custom app and not in my other apps. I have multiple custom apps where I want to see the custom help pages but it seems I can't see them there.

Do you have any idea why that's the case?

    Thank you for your help.

I think you need to create them per app. You can see they have a path in the background entity, I've tried to see if there is a wild card but cannot figure it out:

    Hi Clive,

This is true. I found it a little while back. I thought it would be easier to achieve this but you really have to make a page for every app.

    Thanks for your answer anyway!

    Kind regards,
