I can't create a new Company

Hi all,
I have been assigned the SUPER permission set in my user account. However,
when I try to create a new company in the Sandbox2 environment, the system
returns an error stating that SUPER permission is required.
How can I fix that?

Look forward to your suggestions.
Nobuhara

As Pallavi has mentioned you need permissions to not be related to a specific company. The company code should be blank. If you fill in that company code the permisisons applied are only related to the company you've selected.

Let us know if that fixes your problem so her answer can be marked as verified.

    Hi,

This is actually two different things that people mix up. SUPER inside BC gives you full access within the company, but creating new company especially in sandbox is controlled at tenant level, not inside BC itself.

You need one of the Entra roles like Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator or Dynamics 365 Administrator assigned to your user. Global Admin also works but is usually too much to give someone just for this purpose.

So even if SUPER is correctly assigned in BC, if the Entra role is missing the system will still block you with that message. ask your tenant admin to check role assignments in Microsoft Entra, that should fix it.

✅ Tick the checkbox below to mark the answer as verified, if it helped resolve your question.

    Regards

    Hello Nobuhara,
You have SUPER, but in your screenshot it is assigned only for Company = My Company. Creating a new company is not company-specific, so BC expects SUPER with the Company field blank. Go to Users > your user > User Permission Sets, add/change the SUPER line and leave Company empty, then sign out/in and try Create New Company again. Keep at least one real admin user with global SUPER, otherwise you can easily lock yourself out of admin tasks.
    Regards,

You need to be a super user not restricted to a company

    Hi,

I agree with all of the responses mentioned above - You need to have SUPER user permissions without any company. The company code should be blank.

    Hope this helps.
