Can tree lookup be amended to start from a certain node?

Hi,

I want to be able to override the lookup for a tree control to start from a certain node instead of displaying everything.

For example for CaseCategory Reference group in caseDetailCreate Form. It uses caseCategoryLookup form which has methods like initRoot and Run.

How can i amend the lookup? I want to pass to it a value, so that it returns all children below it instead of everything
