Drill-Back Functionality with Terminal Server

Posted on by 1,075

Hello,

I created a drill back hyperlink for an action for one of my SSRS reports.  When I am trying to click this link from ther Terminal Server, I get the following error:

Dynamics GP Drillback:  A general error has occured.

When I try and run the same report on the SQL server, I get the following error:

A connection Microsoft Dynamics GP could not be established.  Be sure that you are logged on to the appropriate company and try again.

The one on the SQL server I beleive is working correctly because I don't have GP installed, so it can't be open.  If it were open, I beleive this would go into the application.  Does anyone else have any horror stories of the GP 2010 Drill back functionality coupled with Terminal server?  I am guess it is a security issue of the TS talking back to the SQL server?  Or perhaps something with the GP.Protocol.Handler?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

I know that on the MR2012 drill back I needed to be on at least SP2 in order to get drillback.  And that when SP3 came out originally it broke the drillback ability, they then came out within a couple of days with a fix.
