Hi Community,

I have an existing Tier 2 environment with setups as well as transaction data. I want to clean up all transaction data and make the environment as Gold/Golden Configuration environment.

Is it possible to delete only the transaction data and keep all setups and master data?

Hi Sourav,

There is a deprecated class available that can delete transactions, but it is not having support from Microsoft anymore. Some tables might not be recognized or treated correctly. The name of the class is SysDataBaseTransDelete and it needs to be run per legal entity. When you decide to use this unsupported class, you would need to perform a consistency check and check if there are tables that need to be cleaned manually. Number sequences will not be reset.

In fact, you should have started by creating a Golden Config environment first. Then copy the setup to a UAT environment for some testing purposes. You can still decide to start the setup from scratch and/or copy setup data from one environment to another. This would be my recommendation though.
