Understanding Consuming token based web APIs

Hello Guys,

Could anyone share some info specifically related to consuming token based wcf or web apis. I am actually new to this concept. for now, i have just learned calling a web api but going deep into, i want to understand how can we consume the apis which are secured by client id and client secret. e.g. let's suppose i am calling weather.yahoo.com api. How do i consume by client? where do i define the endpoint? where do i authorize the credentials. please share info which is very basic and easily understandable

Please note that i would like to associate this api information to dynamics crm.so once i have the information, i would call it inside CRM.
