Dear All,
 
We are currently receiving an error message regarding the transmission of UK VAT via AX2012R3. Error code 403: Resource_forbidden the application is blocked.
Are there any ideas why this can happen?

    Hi Tom9531

    As i understand , UK VAT submission functionality in AX2012 R3, you must update your Electronic Messaging formats and transition to the new Electronic Invoicing microservice add-in, as required by HMRC’s latest security enhancements for Making Tax Digital (MTD). Microsoft has already deprecate direct integration by June 6, 2025.

    Hi,

    There is a security enhancement in D365FO via a feature 'Security Enhancements in UK MTD VAT Integration'.
    'UK MTD VAT TEST' and 'UK MTD VAT returns' electronic messaging processing will automatically update to enhance the security of your Dynamics 365 Finance integration for direct VAT return submissions for your UK VAT registration. The following actions of type 'Web service' have been changed to 'Executable class': Retrieve VAT obligations, Test retrieve VAT obligations, Submit VAT return, Test submit VAT return, Request VAT liabilities, Request VAT payments. 

    Please check if the following action can be done manually in AX2012 R3.
