Develop TLS authentication and Email tracking to support SMTP server on AWS

Hi All,

What we have:

Currently, the SMTP configurations in AX are pointing to an SMTP server that is on the local domain.

However, the AX application is hosted on an AWS server, and in an instance where the local server is down, the AX application will not be able to trigger an email to customers leading to failure of this functionality.

SMTP configurations were changed in AX but the emails are still not triggering due to the absence of TLS authentication which is essential currently not supported by standard AX 2012 R3.

Can somebody guide me in achieving this task?

Regards,

Pradeep

This blog post might help you: Using the Office 365 SMTP Server to Send Emails from AX 2012 to External Email Addresses without a SMTP Relay.
