upgrade RMS 2.0 from ver 2.0.1006 to 2.0.2014

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I want to upgrade RMS 2.0 from ver 2.0.1006 to 2.0.2014.

"If you are on build 2.0.1000 or higher you only have to install the latest hotfix."

This is what document says.

what about "Cumulative Update #5"

Do I have to intall Cumulative Update #5 and the lastest hotfix #52 or

I just need to install the lastest hotfix #52?

is it better to upgrade? or stay ver 2.0.1006?

is there any known issue with Hotfix [tag:52_3F00_]

Hi echo, are those issues related to shift F9 runtime error 91 per chance? If so I'd recommend 2.0.2017 asap. Cheers

    Hi Echo.

you don't have any problem with 2.0.2000 yet?

Update to 2.0.2000 because with 2.0.2014 we have faced several issues that leads the POS to crash.

You can directly upgrade to CU5.  After you upgrade to CU5, then you would install the hotfix if you need.  Only ever install a hotfix if you are experiencing the problem the hotfix is meant to resolve.  Otherwise don't install.

    CU5 is a prerequisite to Hotfix 52
