I am having an issue customizing my trial balance to have a 6 column trial balance. I want to custom the report layout (which is an .rdlc file) or add an excel report layout to have an opening balance, movements in accounts and closing balance

If you mean Financial Reports (Account Schedules), 15 columns are supported by default now.
