how to add a department to a taskpad in ms pos 2009

Can anyone tell me how to add a department to a task pad, so that if needed I can ring in a sale for an item that is not listed in a department or cat?? 
Also, is there a way of adding buttons for Cash, Cheque Credit on the takpad?

    Hello,

    First any item can have their Department and/or Category blank, it will be selected like any other item when scanned.

    Cash, Cheque, Credit card payments, have a look at help in RMS "How to record a macro". Macro and their buttons named say "Cash Payment", would have just two steps. End the sale and select cash tender. I hope this will help.
