Is there anyway to track which item that was sold in Sales Order was being purchase in which Purchase Order in Navision ?

Hi Community,

I would like to find out how this can be done.

I would like to track which item that was sold in sales order, was from which Purchase Order when we first purchase them...

Anyway to track like this?

    Hi, I agree with Inge, it requires Lot Tracking to do this. Although it will give the user a lot of additional operations, it is the most accurate.

    If you use the costing method of specific you  can trace that if you assign a serial or batch number both at purchase and sales transactions.

    With out that you must look at your purchase transactions and make a decision based on the costing method you have one the item. Most if the inventory movements happens at the FIFO method. So the item you purchase first should be the first to be shipped. But reservations or other functions may change how it actually happens.

    So the only safe and really reliable method is to use the item tracking functionality that comes with the "specific" costing method.
