Converting NAV2018 object to business central

Hello guys,

I am using the txt2al tool to convert my NAV 2018 objects to Business central. Since the business central license allows us to create objects from 50100 to 50149 only so all my objects that are in the range of 50000 to 50099 in NAV 2018 has to be manually renumbered to lie in the permissible range for Business Central. is there any utility to do this or should i do this manually only?

    There should be no need renumber. The customization range is 50000-99999.

    See this for reference: docs.microsoft.com/.../devenv-object-ranges

    Also, the adjust the object range in app.json file to start from 50000, maybe that's why it seemed the range ist 50100-50149.

    The custom range is from 50000.... so you can change the assign object number in your license if you have assigned it wrong.

    Since the app.json file contains the id ranges as 50100 to 50149 i was renumbering them. so can i change the id ranges to 50000-50049 in app.json file?

    Yes, just change from 50100 to 50000 and its all you need to do here. You can also leave 50149 as is, that's no problem. The 50100 to 50149 is just an example. You can use anything between 500000 and 99999 if you wish to do so.
