When we fill in an item number in the job journal, then we need to fill in manually the bin of the item (fixed bin). Is it possible that (as in the purchase order and/of Sales Oder) get the fixed bin of the item automatically?
Standard BC will not default Bin Code in Job Journal, you need to customize it. You can subscribe to onaftervalidate on No. field or Location code field then add the logic to get default bin
Unless you use Advanced Warehousing with Directed Put-Away and Pick, BC will not suggest you any bin.
You can make an extension to change the behavior. It should be easy enough to do this.
If you just want BC to suggest a "Fixed Bin", you don't need to use advance warehouse. Just make sure you tick "Default" in Bin Content , BC will automatically suggest in SO/PO
