Hi All,

I'm new to Business Central and need some advice/help from the experts.
In AX 4.0 (our current version) we have an item called "travel cost" with a dimension "distance".

Distance	Price
< 15 KM	€ 130,-
< 75 KM	€ 175,-
< 150 KM	€ 200,-

In this example I have only added 3 lines but there are more. There are also many other items where we use the same principle.
We use this to keep our list of items short. Several hunderds instead of thousends.
Our salesdepartment now only has to select "travel cost" and "<75 KM" to make a quote.

In Business Central I've looked at Variants and Attributes but can't find where to put the salesprice (and cost).
Am I looking in the right direction or do I need a different approach?

Hi Paul, you're right to be using variants, you just need to update the pricing as per the screenshots below. I'd recommend the sales price worksheet as the easiest way to do it in business central... You'll also have to use the personalise function to add 'Variant Code' into the table.

Make sure your variant codes are setup

Navigate to 'Sales Price Worksheet' using the search function

Add 'variant code' into the table using the personalise function (top right cog)

Update your prices and register the change

This worksheet is also useful for implementing bulk pricing changes as well. You can also apply discounts based on unit of measure, customer group etc

Hi Adam, thank you for your response.

Good to know I was on the right path. I managed to get the sales prices per Variant right.

Next question. Is there also a place where I can input the "Unit cost" per Variant?
