The webpage shows a list of "Alerts" you've set up but what does that actually achieve? There are no sample images on the linked website provided. The page also shows all the old features which are now no longer available. This is very misleading. It is not described anywhere that you cannot get these features if you sign up.
Also, what was the idea of removing all the other features available in the trial? Now we can neither test it ourselves or show it to customers in demos.
Hi Matt, thanks again for your valuable input on your experience with Market Insights Alerts, which is in Public Preview.
Market Insights Alerts can be your eyes and ears on the web for a product, brand or company you want to follow, to get updates within just a couple of minutes. Alerts ensure you catch up on the most important happenings related to your topic on a daily or weekly base. Data science and machine learning lets you find articles with the best keyword matches, the highest number of views, and the most recent publication dates. To help us train our algorithms, you can flag articles as "irrelevant". In a first step, we chose email notifications to ensure consumption in a lightweight way is possible. So, in short, alerts are filtering out the noise to provide a clearer picture of the news important to the business you are in.
As we value customer and partner feedback and listen carefully to the market requirements, let me propose to reach out to you for an in depth conversation. We are aware Social Engagement is very different from the current experience, and your feedback is very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rapha
Basically I was looking for the answer to the question, "what is the point of setting up these Alerts and what do they do?" The website or advertising doesn't tell you anything.
The Answer seems to be they will send you a daily email containing articles about your keywords and that's about it. There is no way to drill down into the list on the insights page and nothing you can do other than add new items to the list or remove items. It sends you a daily or weekly email for each search term you have in your list. So effectively fills your inbox with (most likely Bing) searches of less than useful information. Wow! What a great use of the power of AI. And to think you used to actually have quite a good product with Social Engagement.
Hi Matt, thanks for reaching out, and for providing feedback. Not sure if I fully understand: are "sample images" the dashboard experience which you are referring to? Please let me know which linked website you are looking at, to be able to help best possible.
I agree current website experience dynamics.microsoft.com/.../market-insights might be confusing. We are in the process of updating the website. You are right, the only possibility to test out Market Insights at the moment is Market Insights Alerts alerts.mi.ai.dynamics.com. Please stay tuned, thanks for your patience.
Feel free to send an email for further details: Raphael.El-Saheli@microsoft.com
Thank you
