Dynamics SL Mobile Timecard Entry : Cannot create timecard

I am testing the Mobile Timecard Entry. I have the web service and site all set up. I can log in using my credentials, but all I see under Timecard Entry once logged in is:

Open Timecards

Timecard History

Settings

About

Logout

I do not see "create timecard". My only guess as to why this may be is when I click (or tap) Timecard Entry at the top it has a little popup window that displays the following:

Page: Timecard Entry, Navigation

Company: YMC

Database: bla bla

Employee: bla bla

Pay Type: Salary

I am not salary and there's nothing in Dynamics that indicates I'm salary. Does this have something to do with why I cannot create a timecard entry?

I do have all the rights in access rights maintenance required.

Microsoft.Dynamics.SL.ProjectTimecardService.CreateProjectTimecard and so on.

    I have not.

    I reinstalled and went through all the steps again. I did try a different user. The result was the same. I used the user manual and the 3 part video series. I just noticed yesterday that at the very end of the video series, the demonstrator didn't see the "create timecard" either. I must be missing something.

    Hi,

    The version you downloaded is the only version available.  The newest version is still in beta testing.  Have you been able to create a new timecard yet?  What happened when you tried it with a new user?

    Could you, perhaps direct me to a download for a newer version of mobile timecard entry. I'd like to see if it's a problem with the version. It seems I have version 1 and I believe there are later versions of it. Thanks.

    Thanks. I may resolve to creating a support ticket.

    I did run the hot-fix scripts.

    I will try getting another user set up to see if it's just my user profile for some reason.

    Hi,

    I don't know of a way for you to get me the trace.  You might need to create a support incident.  I have consulted with several team members about this and we are just about out of ideas.  I have one more person to consult with and I'll update you tomorrow on this.  In the meantime, have you tried redeploying?  Also, there are two hot-fixes that are necessary prior to deploying.  Did you apply those and run the related SQL scripts?  Just checking to see if everything was done correctly during deployment.

    I ran the trace. Would I be looking for "User Error Message"? There's a couple of those after some @AccessRights type events. I could send you the whole trace if you'd like. I get no errors when clicking open timecards, but I get a couple (they look like duplicates) when I log in.

    Warning: Null value is eliminated by an aggregate or other SET operation.

    I don't know if this has anything to do with my issue though.

    I believe that is a bug because my user name is linked to an hourly employee and it still shows Salary in that popup box.  

    Do you know how to run a trace using SQL Profiler?  I assume you are using SQL Server 2008 or 2008 R2.  Go to KB article 967955.  Download the template and follow the instructions.  Be sure to select the template prior to running the trace.  Stop the trace after clicking on Open Timecards.  It should show you what the system is looking for and hopefully gives us a clue as to why it's not returning any timecards in the web page.

    What do you think about when I am logged in and click "timecard entry" at the top, I get a pop up that says "Pay Type: Salary". Salary users can't enter timecards, correct?

    That's something I didn't have. I now have 28 weeks set up, but the main page once logged in hasn't changed.

    Try going into Week Maintenance and have at least 20 weeks set up.  I found a bug where nothing will display if you don't have at least 20 weeks set up.
