Automate Mapping Employee with Users in D365 HR by using Odata

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi, Could you please let me know if we can Automate Mapping Employee with Users in D365 HR by using Odata or Power Automate.

I have already tried using PowerAutomate with CDS entities but Since Users Entity in CDS is of CRM the Sync is not happening back

    Hi Raj,

This can be possible in two ways.

    1. You can do manually import/export using DIXF.

    2. You can use oData entities like DirPersonUser and SystemUser entities to link User with Employee.

In theory you can add a create/update trigger flow that when a worker in cdm_worker is marked as employed a user is created in the OData API of Dynamics HR. If you want to link a person you'd basically need to pull the worker from D365HR using the personnelnumber, create the user with the partynumber.

    Hello RajR,

Thank you for your question - I am assuming we are dealing with a Talent - FinOps D365 integration is that correct, or is this CRM integration? And you are looking to have the employees create users over in D365 FinOps environment?
