Updation of security roles within a solution

Posted on by 10

I have created a solution and added security role component in it. When i update the access levels for the role added, it is reflected in the system even when the solution is not published yet. How should i track my changes to the security role using solution?

When you save the modification on a role, it will appear on the default solution, this is by design

    Hi Jean,

Thanks for your response, but i am looking for something else. Let me fine tune my question. I have created a solution and added security role component to change the access level in some entities. Security role is the only component in my solution. I saved my changes to the solution, but haven't published it. Yet i am able to see my changes in the default solution.

I have nearly 25 entities to be managed, across 5 different roles. I don't want these changes to be immediately reflected as and when i keep saving, instead they should appear after i publish the solution. I am doing this in UAT , test the access levels and then export to Prod.

    Regards,

    Hello Sangeetha,

I believe that you can only check the active layer to find the changes:

    Something like that:

Let me know if this is something that can help you.

    Thank you.
