Why doesn't Net Change balance appear even though there is Balance in Navision 2018

Posted on by 4,359

Hi I would like to find out, in Accounts Schedule > Overview > Chart of Accounts.

I find that although there are figures in the Net Change, Navision didn't pull it out. Can anyone advise why is it so?

    Hi Laeticia,

Thank you for your elaborated answer. I have discovered why it happens for my case. For my case, it was due to us didn't close the fiscal year of the previous year.

By default our Navision fiscal year was set as 2017-2018, however, as we have created the Account Periods for this year. It doesn't shows.

    Thank you so much!

    Hello Josh,

From what I can see in your screenshot you are filtering the Account Schedule for the Year 2021, let's say that you have the following setup in the Column Layout:

The system will filter the Amount of each Account accordingly with the Date Filter inserted in the Account Schedule.

Now in my example, let's say that I have only one account 1140 setup like below:

This account has the following entries

In the Account Schedule, if I filter for the year 2019, the system will show any data because there are no entries within the filter enter.

This can be a scenario where the Net Change present any value but the account show a Balance for example.

Hope this information is related to your question.

    Kind regards,
