Production, Subcontracting, service item double posted on production picking list

I have one question in respect with subcontracting operations in Dynamics 365.

We have setup a stocked service item on our BOMs in order to generate the purchase order that we need to be charged from production supplier. When we post the product receipt at that purchase order, a picking list with that item is generated on the production order. When we start the production order, also this service item is on the generated picking list, so we may incorrectly book twice this item on the production order.

There is a way to avoid this duplicate picking postings or we are doing a false strategy?

Below an old link with a similar problem.

Thanks

What options do you use when you start production order?

Also what flushing principle is set for subcontracting BOM line?

Thanks. I already received a reply in Yammer. I changed the service item to flushing finish at the BOM and now I follow these steps:

    1. Start PO

    2. Picking list is generated without the service item

    3. I book the picking list

    4. I book receive and invoice at the purchase order

    5. The purchase order receive generates the picking for the service item and book it automatically

    6. I can finish the production and no futher picking lists are generated for the service item.
