Customer journeys that use dynamic Segments

We love that we can use dynamic segments. However we are finding that when a new customer is added to a journey they get bombarded with emails. Is there a way to stop that from happeneing? When someone joins the journey we just want them to move along at a normal pace.

    Hello Lori - Is Customer Journey a 3rd party product?  I am not seeing a page/action for customer Journey.
