Hi,
If i understand it correctly, you want to create a custom parent/child relation with Account. In order to do that, you can do these;
- Create a lookup field on Account with Target Record Type is Account
- Locate the lookup field on the form
- Insert a sub-grid to the form to show related accounts
You can create an option set field as well to differentiate the key account and non key account, so, you can hide the sub-grid for non key accounts.

This can be done just by creating a lookup field on the Account entity for the Account entity.
