Is there a way to group items together and attach them to one automatic extended text description? I have created a item discount group that I applied a line discount to, but I am trying to find a way to note that on an invoice or sales order each time an item that belongs to the discount group is included on a particular sales order or invoice. I figured the best way was with an extended text. However, I do not want to do this one by one. Help...

You can display the required text on invoice based on Line discount% or Line discount Amount

Are you referring to the line discount for that particular item correct ? If so yes there is no standard setup to setup a different description, it will show the Line Discount % and Line Discount Amount which you can show on the report.
As of right now, when I put an item that belongs to a discount group on an invoice, it automatically gives the discount that I preset. This is a little vague to a customer. All I want is to make sure that the particular item that has a discount applied is indeed a discount valued item. Are you saying the system does not offer any type of automatic description print stating this on the invoice each time a discount group item is added to an invoice?
Yes it doesn't, you need to do some customization to add the standard text or extended on the validate of that particular item. I don't think there is a standard approach to achieve it without customization.
I need it to automatically show whenever an item belongs to a discount line group. I don't believe your previous suggestion does that.
You could create a extended text for a standard text, so create you a extended text for a common standard text and use the same standard text on the order.
