I am trying to create a new manufacturing order.It gives me following error:
You cannot open a manufacturing order for this item because it is a bought item
What could be the reason?

On the item engineering data window (Cards >> Inventory >> Item >> Item Engineering Data), consider the following:
BOM should treat as: Make
Fulfillment Method: Make to stock
