I get the following error trying to print a report from the report viewer.

"An error occurred during printing. (0x80070002)"

I get this after I click print in the print dialog so the activex control is loading.

I can print from IE directly so the printer works.

I have also uninstalled and re-installed the Activex control and still get the error.

It was originally on 1 computer but now I'm having the same issue on a second computer.

Googling the error indicates it's a very generic error code.

Is the issue specific to one report, or all reports ? And if the report has pre-filtering or other parameters, does the number of records make a difference ?

My first guess is it might be to do with the amount of data sent to the printer

All reports from 1 page to multi page reports. No pre-filtering and I have the issue on reports with parameter or with out.

The report renders in the viewer it just errors on the last step to send it to the printer.
