I am developing an SCM Memo Approval application using a modern model-driven app in Microsoft Power Platform / Dynamics 365.
The solution requires officials to review and approve SCM memorandums electronically. I would like guidance on the recommended approach for capturing and displaying signatures within a modern model-driven app.
Specifically:
What signature options are supported in model-driven apps?
Can users draw handwritten signatures directly within the application?
Is it recommended to store signature images in Dataverse, SharePoint, or another repository?
Are there any Microsoft best practices for approval signatures in government or compliance-driven environments?
Has anyone implemented digital approval signatures for memorandum workflows, and what approach worked best?
