Roles and Security in AX 2012 R3

Hi Experts,

Hope everyone doing good!

I have a requirement to hide finance modules in ax 2012 r3 using roles. is it possible to hide modules using roles?

Requirement:

1. I have 3 company(INMF, USMF, GLMF) in AX and want to hide only accounting modules to particular user.

2. User should be able to see or access 3 legal entity in AX. 

Kindly guide me to complete this requirement.

    Hi,

    It is not possible to hide the modules but it is achievable that if you not provide any access to the menus of the particular module then that specific module is hidden to the user.

    For instance, If the user dont have access to any of the menus in module cash and bank management then the module is hidden.

    You need to grant them only such roles, duties and privileges that don't allow access to any menu item in those modules. This way the modules will not be shown.

    No it's not possible. The security is based on enabling / allowing stuff, not hiding it. So just grant you users access to the things they need, and everything else will not be visible to them.
