Open customization window takes time

Posted on by 450

Hi there all experts
I have CRM 2011 on-permise.
Everything with the server was good, and every thing worked great.
suddenly today, from two hours ago, The customization page open with a big delay !
It takes 3-4 min to just open, and if you wanna go to every entity it takes the same time !
I just saw the cpu usage of SQL server and CRM server and were Ok and normal.( Both on ESXi VMs)
My question is this what can happen suddenly?
What can be the cause?

Note that I saw the thread, But do not understand what the answer is !

    Hi there All.

    Thank you for replies.

    It was Network Issue.

I ping the server and saw when Im trying to enter Customization, the ping time goes up.

I changed the ethernet of the server and now Its work Good !

    Hi Albert ,

Is it happening for one user ? Did you tried to login with different user with System Administrator role ?

You may check with fiddler which request is taking time . Also you can check with SQL profiler  what query is  taking time when you are opening Customization page , which might be help you to get the root cause .

You can recycle the AppPool & verify again.

I am not sure but if you are on premise sometimes following things are helps a lot.

    - Need to check whether any other user  might be  doing publish all customization during that time.

    - Restart all front end and backend server.

    - Clear all .net temporary file from C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework64\temporary file from the server.

    - Clear all trace from Microsoft Dynamics CRM folder.

    - Restart all the CRM related services and do IIS restart.

    - Clear browser cache and re login Dynamics CRM.
