Dynamics 365 CRM Import Organization Error: This organization cannot be upgraded.

I'm trying to upgrade crm 2015(7.0.0.3543) on-premises to dynamics 365 on-premises. 

-I have setup new Dynamics 365 server 

-Took backup of CRM 2015 db and restored to new server

-Tried to import Organization using deployment manager

"This organization cannot be upgraded. You can only upgrade organizations that have a version of Dynamics 365 that is no earlier than Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015." . Can anyone please help me resolve this error

    Hi partner,

    Did you read the trace log for more error informations? It could be found with this path:%appdata%/Roaming/Microsoft/MSCRM/Logs

    And we also suggest that you should update to Crm2016 first and then you could upgrade to Dynamics 365.

    Hello KavitaSt,

    Suggestion here for you as below.

    First of all Take backup of CRM2015 DB (MSCRM_CONFIG , ORG_MSCRM)

    You need to upgrade your CRM2015 server to CRM2016 first.

    Once  upgraded to CRM2016 you need to apply Update Rollup  KB3205084 which will rebrand crm2016 to Dynamics365. (2.0)

    after that you may go with upgrade  ony by one update rollups. (till update 2.9 KB4508726).
