Error during posting Depreciation in FA G/L Journal.

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I was trying to run 'Calculate Depreciation' Job. I filled the FA posting date, Posting date there.

However the same is not getting copied to the Journal lines and as a result the following error is displayed.

Is there a remedy?

I noticed that for Straightline method. There is no error.

There is  NO customisation and I am working to test standard processes.

Can you show us the trigger point on which this error is getting generated in codeunit 5631.

Please also let us know whether there is customization done in FA or not.

    Hi Jiju,

sounds strange. At which object does the debugger stop? T81?

    with best regards

    Thanks Jens,

Yes Jens. Accounting period, FA accounting periods are set. Starting and ending date as well.

All the records are copied except for FA posting date.

As a result, I had to update manually

    Hi Jiju,

just a guess... accounting periods are set up? In the FA depreciation books, a starting and ending date is set?

And another wild guess: FA G/L journal has a "valid" line? Or no journal line?

    with best regards

    Jens
