How to record the tracking information for hardware deliveries

Hi. How can we record the tracking information of hardware product delivery? We have multiple hardware products that we're selling to the customers. We don't have an inventory of the products as we only resell the products. We just enter the items on the item card and use it to a quote then to order to invoice. 
For hardware products, before we invoice the clients, we need to provide them first of the tracking information then wait for the client to confirm receipt of the items. How do we record the tracking information from the tracking number, status of the order, delivery date, etc that we can generate a report and share it with the client? THank you.

    Generally, some Date field on the line can be used for this purpose, but the premise is that you need to maintain it manually.
    This data can be exported in Sales Lines.

    I think you can use the dropshipping functionality in the system. More information on that here - Make drop shipments - Business Central | Microsoft Learn
     
    You can record the expected receipt date in the purchase order and the shipment date in the sales order. Additionally, in a sales order, you can use the shipping agent fields and the package tracking number field to document relevant information.
     

    For generating a report, you may need to slightly customize some of the out of the box reports for sales orders or purchase orders to include all the information you require.
