Creating a custom button in ribbon in the form

I want to create a custom button(resolve case) in a custom entity but it should work exactly like the resolve case button which is present in the case entity. So is it possible to do this if yes then how can I create this button?
Like I have created a button that should open the case resolution entity form but it is not working properly as it is opening the same form.
