Excel Format Options

Hi,

We have a customer which uses Dynamics SL v7 with Excel 2007. Their normal process to Export GL is after they clicked on 'Export' it lets you choose what type of file, in their case is Excel 97-2003 and which disk they want to save the exported file, then it pops up a second box asking for Excel format options. Please see attached screen shot

But after they got upgraded to Dynamics 10, every time they export a GL, it only shows the Windows Explorer option where what type of file but doesn't pop up the Excel Format options. And the only difference is this new server uses Excel 2019

Is there a way to bring back the Excel Format options? or is it something that they had to live on since it's a different Dynamics and Excel version?

Dear Jeff,

Right this change actually goes back to 2015, It was a design change if I remember correctly. So this is how it works now in the last 2 major releases.
