BP and SQL Reporting Services

They are both Sharepoint related but wanted to be sure that installing SQL 2008 Reporting Services on a Business Portal 3.0 (sharepoint) server won't cause any problems. Anyone with any experience doing this?

Aloha, Yes…it is possible. It took plenty of trial and error, but I was successfully able to install SSRS in SharePoint Integrated made using a two Server deployment (Sharepoint server and SQL Server). There were a few sites that demonstrated this, but the one I kept going back to was from Marc Charmois: http://mosshowto.blogspot.com/2009/01/integrating-sql-server-2008-reporting.html. There were a few steps that were missing for our environment, but it was the closest I came and was also well written with helpful screen shots.
Even though it was a headache at times and frustrating to no end, it has been invaluable for the reporting capabilities it provides our Executive Staff, Supervisors, and Project Managers. In the end, there were no instances where BP actually went down during the installation and configuration process.
