Build custom lookup based on values in form

I have a workspace and form part:

I am wanting to filter on the 'Vendor account' (Also called supplier).  Is it possible to build a custom lookup on this filter and show only vendor accounts that are in the form part grid?

You can try this way. Here we have All Open Service Orders tab. So just get those records only by some flag and make those records or RecIds into a container and use this container as the lookup query filter. This way you can achieve it.

    Layan,

No, this is not a standard form.  The 'Vendor account' control uses the 'VendAccount' EDT which has a form assigned to it for the lookup.
That standard lookup works just fine. I was simplly hoping to limit what the user sees in that lookup.

I know I can subscribe to the OnLookup event and override that lookup.  That is pretty easy.
The question is, could I get a hold of the form datasource that is populating that grid and limit the lookup to only vendors contained in that grid.

    Hi Brad,

I think you should be able to override the control lookup. is this a standard form? if yes, give us the name please so that we look at this vendor control.

    Thanks,
